5MeO-DMT Treatment

What is 5MeO-DMT and How Does it Work?

Often referred to as the God molecule, 5Meo-DMT is a psychedelic tryptamine found in the venomous secretions of the Sonoran Desert Toad, also known as the Colorado River Toad. When ingested via the process of inhalation of the vaporized O-methylbufotenin, within a proper and supported emotional mindset (the “set”) and appropriate environmental setting (the “setting”), 5MeO-DMT may offer the patient psychotherapeutic benefits across a variety of psychiatric symptoms including PTSD, Depression, and GAD. These benefits are realized through occasioning mystical-type experiences and the experience of ego dissolution.

At the Avante Ibogaine Institute, approximately 80% of patients suffering symptoms of treatment resistant depression and PTSD have reported moderate to mild improvement of symptoms following 5MeO-DMT therapy.

Research and studies continue to be conducted to determine whether 5MeO-DMT is able to demonstrate neuroprotective, regenerative, and anti-inflammatory properties which may prove therapeutic in addressing underlying etiology of cognitive impairments due to concussive and sub-concussive brain injuries, CAD, Parkinsons Disease, and PTSD.

How does it feel to experience 5Meo-DMT Therapy?

Ingestion of 5MeO-DMT is best described as a rapid and aggressive psychedelic experience typically lasting between 5 and 7 minutes in duration wherein the individual occasions mystical-type experiences and ego dissolution. These hallucinogenic experiences may offer therapeutic potential to shift mental and emotional perception and improve upon a variety of psychiatric symptoms including PTSD, Depression, and GAD.

It should be noted that 5MeO-DMT therapy induces a rapid rise in blood pressure and heart rate and may not be well-suited to individuals with pre-existing cardiac conditions.
