The co-founder of Avante Ibogaine Institute, Nico, brings more than 20 years of personal experience with substance misuse and addiction to his work at Avante program. After enduring early-life trauma and the untimely death of his father when he was just 21, Nico battled years of depression and guilt, resulting in recurring cycles of substance misuse, overdose, incarceration, and treatment.
Nico’s personal experience gives him a deep understanding of what Avante’s clients are going through, enabling him to connect with patients in a compassionate and nonjudgmental manner.
Nico and the Avante team are committed to the long days and often sleepless nights that recovery work can require. Their dedication reflects the empathy and compassion they bring to every patient’s recovery journey.
