Intensive and Passive Therapies
Our psychotherapists are trained in the intensive psychotherapy technique known as Intensive Short Term Dynamic Psychotherapy (ISTDP). By initiating the de-conditioning process through our plant therapy treatments, this intensive therapy quickly builds trust and a powerful therapeutic alliance between the guest and therapist within a very short span of time.
ISTDP focuses on right hemisphere processes of emotional regulation allowing our therapists to immediately work to determine the source of adult psychoneurosis and aspects of character pathology necessary to de-condition anxieties over trauma-based and other past emotional experiences.
ISTDP therapy is inclusive in the cost of our withdrawal free detoxification treatments and help our guest to achieve the most from their Avante therapy experience.
From the moment our guests arrive, it is our goal to gently guide them on the pathway of physical and emotional healing and return them to a state of internal harmony. Staff is available at guest discretion to indulge in these wonderful therapies.
While experiencing these stimulating therapies you will be enveloped in an environment that embraces nature and promotes nurturing. Truth be told, from the moment you enter The Avante Institute you will sense that you have arrived to an environment that offers a higher level of care, comfort and peace that is rarely experienced. This is due in part, to our compassionate staff and our belief in and use of Ayurvedic therapies and natural medicines.
Also known simply as Ayurveda, Ayurveda medicine is one of the world’s oldest holistic,
whole-body healing systems developed in India thousands of years ago. It is based on the belief that health and wellness depend on a delicate balance between the mind, body, and spirit.
Our Ayurvedic therapies are present throughout the institute and include an assortment of effervescent aromas, transcendental meditation, yoga, stretching and conditioning, therapeutic massage, and nutritional diets and fluids.
